Menlo Fit welcomes a team of certified instructors and experienced boot camp coaches to its staff. With special interest in promoting healthy living for families over a lifetime, they have experience with parents and kids programs, with high-intensity results-driven training, and everything in between.
Brien Shamp
Brien heads up the programming at Menlo Fit. Under his leadership we’re excited about developing a stellar fitness resource in Menlo Park with a variety of exciting and effective activities for the community.
Brien’s personal mission is to inspire people to make positive changes, thereby realizing their optimal potential. He uses the latest information, based upon scientific principles and a focus on practicality in today’s world to help you master goals and take responsibility for your health and well-being.
Brien holds a B.S. in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Biomechanics from U.C. Davis and completed extensive graduate studies in the field of Exercise Physiology and Adapted Physical Education at SF State University. He is a Level II Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach, Metabolic Typing Consultant and NRT (Nutrition Response Testing) Practitioner. Brien is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the NSCA and has been a Certified Personal Trainer through numerous organizations since 1990. He is also a Certified Olympic Weightlifting Coach, Speed, Agility, and Conditioning Instructor. Brian is a Nike Total Conditioning Instructor, Medical Massage Therapist, Accupressurist, Acu-Yoga Instructor and Therapeutic Yoga Instructor.
